We are running out of time to advocate for Ruby! Ruby is an open, optimistic, and generous girl who wants nothing more than a family’s love! Tragically, 13-year-old Ruby has spent her entire life in a Chinese orphanage simply because the Director had misconceptions about adoption and never prepared her paperwork. While Ruby has spent the beginning of her life in an institution, she is healthy and developmentally and academically on track for her age! Ruby is truly a special child! She is very artistic and loves to sing, dance, and draw!
She does very well in school and dreams of becoming a singer one day. Caregivers shared that Ruby earns great grades and especially loves math and PE. Ruby gets along well with her peers and is always ready to lend a hand to caregivers. A quiet, gentle child, Ruby is also very independent and self-disciplined—she always does her homework on time and follows rules with ease.
Ruby shared that she would like to be adopted and wants to have a loving mother and father. If Ruby is not adopted soon, she will age out of the adoption system and never experience the love of a forever family.
Families considering Ruby’s adoption are eligible to apply for our exclusive grant, which can assist a family in up to $5,000 towards adoption fees!
