Could You Be Their Family?

UPDATE: We are so excited to share that Kamber and Finley have found their forever family! To learn about other children still waiting for their forever family, visit our international adoption photolistings.

5-year-old Kamber and 11-year-old Finley are sweet, affectionate siblings who want nothing more than the chance to be known and loved by a family. These amazing siblings have spent their entire lives waiting to be adopted in Colombia and tragically were separated for most of their lives. Sadly, they were abandoned by their mother and Finley was placed into an institution while Kamber was placed into a foster family.

As is so clear in their video, family means the world to them! They now have visits to see each other every 15 days, which they treasure. They desperately need to be united with a family so they can be together! The family adopting Kamber and Finley may be eligible for our need-based AGCI Adoption Grant, which can assist a family in up to $3,000 toward adoption fees.

Little sister Kamber has been with the same foster family since she was just 20 days old. She is currently enrolled in Preschool and loves learning! Her favorite activities are painting, playing the piano, and playing with friends! Kamber recently met her older brother for the first time and asks for him constantly! Kamber has feeding needs and hip problems as a result of a lack of prenatal care. We know that with a family’s love amazing things are possible for this sweet girl!

Older brother Finley is very active and loves to play basketball, visit the park, and play games! He also loves poetry and singing! Finley is in the 3rd grade and very intelligent! While he has struggled with some emotional and behavioral problems this year, Finley currently lives in an institution and we know this boy will thrive with the love and support of a family. He is now receiving clinical psychological support and learning to express his emotions, fears, and frustrations which we are so thankful for. We are so excited to see that Finley is learning to recognize the adult as a protective person, because prior to now, the adults who were important to him have abandoned him. Little by little, he is establishing adequate relationships, respecting adults and has managed to control his impulses.

Like his younger sister, Finley has feeding problems that are likely due to poor prenatal care. Our team met Finley in Colombia in October and this sweet boy begged us to find him a family and to remain with his sister. It’s our prayer that we can honor Finley’s wish and find their forever family. Kamber and Finley truly want nothing more than to know the unconditional love of a family!
