25 Years of Faith: AGCI Travels to China!

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20

14595802_10210961317656881_4912111495823112525_nAGCI staff have arrived in Xiamen, China! On this trip, our team is thrilled to witness Ezekiel unite with his forever family, give family care packages to many matched children, and learn more about how we can better serve the children we are advocating for throughout the Fujian region!

Jodi (AGCI VP of Adoption), Carin (AGCI China Adoption Case Manager), Dayn (Videographer) and Dr. Troyer (Pediatrician) have arrived in China following a 27-hour journey fueled by love for these amazing kids (and a little coffee)!

Our team is experiencing a bit of a bittersweet moment upon visiting the many familiar faces. While our team is looking forward to learning more about how we can best advocate to find families for these sweet kids, it’s heartbreaking to see many of them still waiting. For many of the older children, it’s devastating for them to watch their friends leave with their adoptive families—particularly when they so desperately want a family of their own. We can’t wait to see what God has planned for these kids—we know that He “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”

Following our two-day stay in Xiamen, we’re heading to our other partnership homes, Longyan and Gutian. At each of these 14572754_10210969241374969_7372398438728753335_nhomes, we’re receiving updates for all of the children we are expecting paperwork for. These updates are so critical in our quest to find families for these kids!

On this 10-day trip, we plan to meet and visit with over 130 children who are waiting for their forever families! We feel so blessed by the opportunity to see kids throughout the Fujian region—some we’ve never met before, some we’ll be visiting again, and we’ll also meet little ones who we recently received paperwork for.

We can’t wait to share more of our journey with you! Check back soon for our updates!
