AGCI Adoptee Competes in the Paralympics

Jana Murphy who was adopted from Bulgaria through All God’s Children International, qualified to represent Canada in swimming for the Paralympics in London. The Paralympics aired August 29th- September 9th and Jana swam in the following races:

  • August 31- 100 meter back stroke
  • September 2nd– 200 meter free style
  • September 6th– 100 meter breast stroke

She has broken two Canadian records and trained in Italy to prepare for the games. The family traveled to London to cheer for their daughter. She is 20 years old and was diagnosed with a mild intellectual disability, and has grown into a wonderful young woman!

    We are so proud of you!! Your beautiful smiles lights up the room! Two of our children were born in Bulgaria, and we were so excited to see the athletes with Bulgarian heritage. Way to go!
