When children aren’t able to remain with their families, we empower caregivers with the tools, resources, and information they need to provide attentive, family-based care to help children begin to heal from trauma. Whenever possible, we work with birth families to help the entire family find true transformation and healing so that families can reunify in a healthy way.

PHOTO ABOVE: “When 11-year-old Kamali* first arrived at the AGCI & the Tim Tebow Foundation House of Hope in Ethiopia, she felt depressed and unworthy of love. After struggling in her relationship with her parents, she ran away from home multiple times. Her parents, lacking resources or support, felt ill equipped to handle Kamali’s behavior. When our team met Kamali, she used manipulation, lies, and aggression to mask her biggest fear—would she ever be loved by her family? Our team came alongside Kamali to disarm those fears and begin to walk beside her on a healing journey. Through counseling, Bible study, and connection, our team empowered Kamali to see her own worth and begin to understand that her parents truly loved her. We are filled with joy that healing care for the entire family led to a successful reunification in April of 2022! This beautiful family is thriving and now has the tools and support they need to continue their healing journey.
