Belay is Home and in the Arms of Family!
Belay left home at a young age hoping to find a job to help provide for her family, but her employer’s home was one of abuse and anger. Belay spent years working for her employer but was always afraid of the next attack.
In early 2023, Belay ran away from the abuse and was intercepted by police, who referred her to the AGCI & the Tim Tebow Foundation House of Hope in Ethiopia. You can imagine the walls Belay put up to protect herself. Thankfully, today, she is back in the arms of family!
All Belay prayed for since leaving home was for hope. She missed her family. And she desperately needed someone to remind her that God had more in store for her life.
Belay lived in the House of Hope for nearly a year, where she received love and support. Our team worked diligently to track down Belay’s roots and began to prepare her family for reunification. We are thrilled to share Belay was reunited with her family last month!
Today, Belay is home with her grandparents and brother, and she knows the hope of the Gospel! Belay says, “I know who Jesus is and what He has done for me. I will always be in your debt in this regard, and for so much more, so thank you.”
