Carolina is a bright, kind-hearted girl who enjoys reading and writing, and is determined to finish her college degree and begin working in television production. Carolina has been living in Colombia’s foster care system since she was just six years old. Growing up, she wanted nothing more than the chance to be united with a forever family and be surrounded by the love and support she needed. After years of waiting, Carolina eventually aged out of the system and was left with the unfortunate options of either remaining in an institution designed for young children or discontinuing her education and entering independent adulthood life without access to the tools she would need to escape the cycle of poverty. Carolina decided to remain in an institution designed for young children in order to enter a TV and Broadcasting program at a local university.
Prior to entering the Dream Home, Carolina was living in an institution with 80 younger children, which made it extremely difficult for her to concentrate on her studies. Moving into the Dream Home has allowed Carolina to live in an age-appropriate and supportive environment, while gaining necessary life skills for her transition into independence. By sponsoring Carolina, you can ensure that she is provided with the guidance, love, and support she needs to thrive, and ultimately is given the opportunity to change the system and reach her full potential.
