Alix is a bright, kind-hearted, and determined girl who has a passion for music. Sadly, she has spent the past 11 years in an institution without the love and support of a family, eventually aging out of the system and becoming ineligible for adoption. She is currently studying English at a University in Bogota, and hopes to continue pursuing her degree so that she can become a teacher and translator and help young adults in Colombia learn English. Alix was previously living with 80 younger children in an institution, making it extremely difficult for her to focus on schoolwork and thrive in an age-appropriate setting while also creating an independent life.
Now that she has entered AGCI’s Dream Home, Alix has the opportunity to complete her degree in an age-appropriate environment while learning the important skills she needs to become a successful adult. By sponsoring Alix, you can ensure that she continues to receive the guidance, love, and support she needs to reach her full potential and to transition to independence. With the right support, Alix can break the cycle of an orphan, and she can become a teacher.
