Meet Seble. Seble was a Special Mother for our Hannah’s Hope in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa. After leaving her work at Hannah’s Hope, she started her own coffee shop on a main road in Addis. Her business is flourishing thanks to her dedication, hard work, and a little support from AGCI.
Seble is one of many women who received a micro-business grant last year from AGCI. Through our micro-business grants we are able to empower women so that they are able to start their own businesses and earn income to support themselves and their children.
We are passionate about keeping families together whenever possible, and we recognize that poverty is the number one reason for child abandonment. By providing vulnerable women with the tools they need to succeed, we preserve families and help prevent children from becoming orphans.
