Packed for China

China Program Director Tiffany Williams is headed for China this week…

FujianI am all set and ready to go!  I am so grateful for all the donations of toys, vitamins, and hand sanitizers that have come in from our China families  to take with me!  I leave for Xiamen early Friday morning and will fly through Seattle, San Francisco, and Hong Kong, and arrive in Xiamen late Saturday night.  This will be my 3rd trip over in 15 months as we continue to work hard to establish a good relationship with our one to one contract orphanage in Xiamen, home to nearly 550 orphans now.  Almost 250 of those children are new abandonment cases since the opening of the baby safety island at the Xiamen orphanage in January of 2014.

This trip will be focused on medical evaluations of a new list of approximately 40 children that Xiamen has put together, as well as getting updates on the kids we are currently trying to place and have placed.  We will be seeing about 80-90 kids all together for evaluations.  Rocky Yu, our staff from Beijing, will be flying down Friday as well to serve for AGCI as my translator and guide.

Here is what our schedule will look like:

Sunday-rest, attend foreign passport holder church in Xiamen

Monday-meet with Xiamen Orphanage staff and begin the medical updates on kids we have placed and are currently trying to place from list we received in March

Tuesday-travel to Longyan Orphanage who will be hosting us as we visit the Xiamen foster care kids, and also travel to village outside of Longyan where many kids are in foster care too

Wednesday-see new list of kids with doctor from the USA who also traveled with me in March

Thursday-continue to get updates on kids we have placed and are currently trying to place from list we received in March

Friday-travel about 4 hours to Fuzhou, stop over 1/2 way point at Fengzhe orphanage to give toy donations and get update on the kids there, and then continue on to Fuzhou to meet with Jack, the director of the civil affairs, and his staff, to give update on our work in Xiamen and discuss the upcoming conference and orphan care work in Fujian

Saturday-volunteer in the special care unit at Xiamen

Sunday-rest and attend foreign passport holder church in Xiamen

Monday-fly home through Beijing!

Thank you for your prayers! We are so excited to see all that God is doing and look forward to what he has in store for this trip!
