Loving Big in Haiti!

IMG_5444AGCI staff and a team of advocates are in Haiti! In addition to completing a few service projects and adding a playground area for the older kids at our Hannah’s Hope partner home, these amazing AGCI sponsors are meeting their sponsored children for the first time! Stay up-to-date on their journey by checking back on the blog!

AGCI’s Sponsorship Coordinator, sent us the update below:

The team all arrived safely late Saturday night! We were up bright and early Sunday morning and attended a church service on the mountain top. Between the beautiful views and the bumpy terrain, the team loved the adventure of the ride in the back of the truck.

During the service I was reminded of the scripture that says, “There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like Yours. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and they shall glorify Your name,” Psalm 86:9.

We didn’t understand the words the congregation was singing but many of us recognized the melodies! It was so awesome to see the team experience something so new!

We were able to stop by the house for a couple of hours Sunday night right before the kids went to bed. The kids international adoption, haiti, familywere thrilled to see us and the team was so excited to finally see the faces they’ve been praying for and receiving updates on! They were all in heaven with multiple children on their laps!

Monday was a full day! We were at the house at 9 am and didn’t leave until dinnertime! We began working on the swingset and will be finished with it by Tuesday afternoon. The kids have been watching them build it and are anxiously awaiting the moment when they can use it!

One of our sponsors brought dress-up clothes for the kids and it was a huge hit! She brought mirrors as well so the kids can see themselves all dressed up! The team and the kids were entertained by that for a while!

We will really focus on doing sponsorship updates today and I cannot wait! These sponsors have been receiving updates so being able to get to know these kids and do updates on them will be so fun.

Check back soon for more on our team’s service trip in Haiti!
