At least 380,000 orphans were living in Haiti before the 2010 earthquake. After the disaster, 150,000 new orphaned children were instantly added to that number. Haiti is one of the least-developed countries in the western hemisphere and is one of the poorest in the world. For Haiti’s orphaned children, the needs are great and the resources are few.
It takes $180,000 a year to provide three balanced meals a day, medical care, therapy, education and shelter for the children at Rivers of Hope. Unfortunately, despite the generosity of AGCI sponsors and advocates, many of the needs at Rivers of Hope are left unmet. In fact, approximately $8,000 a month, or $96,000 a year, is still needed to give the children at Rivers of Hope the things they need to thrive.
Will you be the difference for a child in need?
